Support Coordinator/Mentor
I have been navigating the NDIS system for over 10 years, running and managing as a single parent household, with myself, and my children, on the NDIS organising our own plans.
During this time I have also been on a journey of self discovery with my own neurodiversity. I am a NDIS participant with my own disabilities. With lived experience of Autism with a PDA profile, Psychosocial disability, and complex PTSD, I bring unique knowledge to my role, as I genuinely understand what it is like being an NDIS participant, and navigating this complex system.
I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience over the last few years with clients running this business. My specialtiy is working with the above mentioned, as well as Intellectual disability. I am completely trauma informed, and neurodiversity affirming in my approach with clients.
It has been a struggle to figure out the system as it is so complex and the NDIA keep moving the goal post, every few months big changes lately. I have experience with helping people to be organised, empowered, and helping them understand their own funding and what they can potentially do with it as a Support Coordinator, and also as a mentor.
